You've got the booking! You've worked hard to market your luxury picnic business and now it's time to get prepared for the event.
Here are some ideas of what to do on the day or days before the event is to take place.
1. MAKE A CHECKLIST
Create your own checklist of items that you take to all of your picnics. You can include things such as charger plates, candles, Bluetooth speaker, etc. We all know that every picnic is different which makes our service so unique. Don't forget to add items that are unique to every picnic to your checklist.
2. MOCK SETUP
Do a sample setup of your picnic and take a picture to refer to it during your setup. This allows you to practice your setup and make sure that everything is perfect.
3. ARRIVE EARLY
Always allow yourself plenty of time to setup your picnics. The extra time allows you to market your services to people who walk by and time to take pictures for your portfolios or social media.
4. FOLLOW UP
Send confirmation and final notes to your client. Confirm the location, your cancellation policy, the time, etc. Also, follow up with vendors and confirm all pertinent details.
5. GET CHARGED UP!
Make sure that you charge all of your devices such as your phone, camera, Bluetooth speaker, etc. A portable charger is a great idea also!
6. PACK EARLY
Pack the night before if possible.
7. DO A WALK THROUGH
Make sure that you do a site inspection a few days at least prior to your picnic. Make sure that conditions are still optimal for a picnic and that there are no construction issues, parking issues, etc.
Being a picnic-preneur can be challenging but it doesn't have to be. Preparation is key to make sure that all of your setups run smoothly! This list is not all inclusive and I would love to hear your ideas. Share them below.
